The Cultural Preservation Department is dedicated to protecting, revitalizing, and sharing the rich cultural heritage of the Clearwater Band of Ojibwe.

Our Mission

To ensure that our language, traditions, and cultural practices are preserved and transmitted to future generations through education, documentation, and community engagement.

Programs

  • Ojibwe Language Immersion Program for youth and adults
  • Traditional arts and crafts workshops (beadwork, birch bark, quillwork)
  • Oral history recording and archives project
  • Cultural mentorship pairing elders with youth
  • Sacred site protection and monitoring
